- there is no such thing as Wolcott Road in Waterbury.
- There is a Wolcott Street in Waterbury,
- but only once it reaches Wolcott (the Town) does it become Wolcott Road.
- Although there is also
- a Wolcott Street in Wolcott off of Wolcott Road,
- and a (different) Wolcott Street off of Wolcott Road in Bristol,
- there is no Wolcott Road in Waterbury
- except for when the current Lakewood Road was named Wolcott Road
- and at the time that there was
- a Borrough of Waterbury (and no Town of Waterbury nor City of Waterbury
- and when there was a City of Waterbury
- the current Wolcott Street was the boundary between Waterbury and Wallingford
- and when the Saw Mill Plains District was not yet incorporated into the City of Waterbury
- There is a Wolcott Street in Waterbury,
- there is no such thing as Wolcott Road in Waterbury.
- The Wolcott Road Neighborhood of Waterbury includes all properties along Wolcott Street beginning at the intersection of Maher Avenue and Dallas Avenue up to the Wolcott town line; it also includes most of Gates Avenue, a third of Clearview Street, the west side of MacCauley Avenue, the west third of Pritchard Road, Richard Terrace, the east side of Stilson Street, and properties west of the Mad River up to the Wolcott Town Line. The area also includes just a tad northwest of Sherman Avenue on Lakewood Road, and all of Mark Lane up to the Wolcott Town line.

Police Identify Suspect in Fatal Wolcott Street Hit-and-Run
Authorities have identified a suspect linked to a fatal hit-and-run incident on Wolcott Street in late October that resulted in the death of a 74-year-old man. The investigation is ongoing, with police working towards making an arrest and bringing closure to the victim’s family.
